Insurance & billing
Yes, we accept and bill your insurance.
Being out-of-network doesn't mean you can't use your insurance. Here's how it really works.
What does out-of-network really mean?
In-network
Doctors sign a contract to accept a fixed “rate schedule” set by insurance companies. These rates are often significantly lower than the cost of providing high-quality care.
Out-of-network
Doctors have not signed that contract, but still bill insurance directly. We handle authorization, billing, and negotiation on your behalf.
Yes, we bill your insurance.
We bill all PPO and most non-HMO plans. Surgeries only proceed after insurance authorization is approved.
If you have an HMO, your plan requires in-network providers, but we can explain our cash-pricing option and discuss whether your plan might grant an exception.
Why don't all doctors sign in-network contracts?
In-network rates can be surprisingly low — often far below the cost of delivering high-quality care. Many patients assume insurance pays doctors thousands for procedures, but the reality is far different.
What happens when you're out-of-network?
Initial payment
Insurance may start with a very low payment.
Negotiation
We negotiate on your behalf, aiming for a fair middle ground.
IDR if needed
Independent arbitration under the No Surprises Act.
If negotiation fails, we can pursue IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) under the federal No Surprises Act, where a neutral arbiter decides what's reasonable.
The bottom line for patients
- We handle billing and fight for fair payment so you don't have to
- Surgeries only move forward once insurance approval is in place
- By law, you are only responsible for your deductible and coinsurance
- We do not send patients to collection. Period.
- If insurance truly won't cover, we reduce charges to our cash rate + billing team's fee
- You'll know costs upfront — no surprises
Out-of-network doesn't mean out-of-pocket.
